This is the first time I've seen this argument actually make sense.
I know they stress "revenge is never the answer" in kids movies, but that never seemed very convincing. By the time the main character realized it, the antagonist was already on the ropes, or had been punished some other way. So walking away was easy.
And it shouldn't be.
